Is anyone interested in this series? Looking at the mintage figures of the last few releases makes me think there is very little chance the series will be carried through to completion. Am I mistaken in this belief? Is the mint required by law to complete the series even though it has not been received well by the public?

If the series does get cut short then I think there may be a great opportunity at putting together a short series of the unmarried presidents, the so-called "liberty" coins.

Has anyone else here been thinking along this line?

Even though the mintage of these coins is decreasing, by law the mint has to continue to produce these until the series ends. The Decrease can be due in part to the increase in spot gold and the loss of interest in the little known First Spouses.

Personally I only bought 2 different coins, One was the Jefferson Liberty and the other was the Jackson Liberty. I think putting together a Liberty set is a good idea, it would be a more affordable alternative to collecting the entire series.

I think these might be a good investment if your looking to buy gold anyway. the mintages for the BU coins is around 5000 for most of the series so far except for the the first few.

Its only mandated until 2016 so far, the series could end there if need be

I will be happy when I get my Buchanan's Liberty and my 4 coin PF70UC LIBERTY set is complete

So am I correct in my belief there will be five "liberty" coins, but one will actually have a famous suffragette on it? That means Jefferson, Van Buren, Jackson and Buchanan. Perhaps this other coin could be a key.
