If I read this correctly,Is the 1959d considered a fake,or counterfeit?I have quite a few of them.Should these be added as part of my collection I've been working on?Sandra.

The 1959-D is a legimate cent . there were 1,279,760,000 of them minted.

What is the source of the info that you are reading ?

Metalman is correct. The 59 was the first year of the Memorial. I'm curious where you read this also. I wonder if Metalman has those numbers memorized? ;-))

I thought that I was really going nutso until I saw that you had edited your original post. It DID say 1958 at first, didn't it? Oh my, my - more tired than I thought!

Yes,I did at first,but I made another error.This is in the Wheat cent facts,not the memorials.I'm sorry.
