Maybe I should place it into"Coin Community Family Topics"as a birthday:

The year 2010 marks the centenary of Australian coinage!

Here is your birthday present. Well, you would have to buy it, I suppose.

100-Years-Of-Australian-Currency.

And this http://www.coinnews.net/2010/01/05/...ian-coinage/ is the article that the image came with, so to say. The design does not look bad, but I wish they had picked coins from different periods of time, instead of monarchs, to symbolize that time span ...

LOL ! almost ! :P

Point of note with this coin. Be on the lookout for struck through oil coins. They could be coming.

I have some gallery press coins coming from people who went and visited the RAM.. and someone has already posted a picture with strange oil affected looking border on a coin from lets call it "press A" while the coin from the other press was fine. I hope I get one of these in mine.

I will now buy many more rolls (20) from the mint than I originally intended (3) if mint wrapped rolls come. I will then open at least one, and hopefully there are some completely blank or almost completely blank coins in there from a major struck through error :D

I think the design is superb and I like it the more I look at it

Now think.. don't most of us neglect the obverse image a bit in our coins ? since the reverse on many many coins have such spectacular images.. from the Pennies and Canberra florin through all the circulation designs.. we probably ignore the obverse a little when admiring them. I know I have. Those are great portraits and look nice together

I don't think these will come in rolls. None of the other mint mark series coins have.
