I need to acquire a Morgan for my type set. [:0] I would like to get a common date in a high grade. I really need a MS65 of some date/mint that would be a dime a dozen. Any info is apprecitated

there is no "dime a dozen" morgans but the cheapest of the series is the 1921-P and in MS-65 is around 100 bucks

Your best bet is an 1881-S. They're common, almost uniformly great strikes, and, for MS65, relatively cheap. You can get a gorgeous one for well under $200. 1921's aren't known for great strikes - I'd advise against one for a type set (remember, 1921's are what I do).

That is true about the strike, I just thought he was looking for the "cheapest" morgan in MS-65 wasnt thinking about the best strike for the money

Thanks for the advice. I'm sorry for any confusion. I probably wasn't clear. Since it is for a type set, I figured common date/best strike/moderate price. I guess I wasn't specific enough. Bryan: "dime a dozen" is a figure of speech for goodness sake.

If I were you I would go with a 1921 even though I'm trying to get my hands on any Morgan dollars since I have none But ya get a 1921-P
And always collect.
