I was looking around to see what auction houses would be appropriate to sell my recently appraised 100 Dollar Confederate note and was considering Bower's and Merena. Do you think an appraised value of 1,500-2,000 dollars would be to "cheap" of an item to put into one of their auctions. I feel that I would be able to get the best price for such an item at auction rather than selling to a private dealer.

B&M is a good auction house but you may want to inquire with Lyn Knight, he exclusively auctions currency and does a number of major paper money shows.
