I posted this on another thread but I think it is better here.
What grade would this 1913s Barber dime be?
I acquired the coin as part of a cheap collection I bought in New Zealand. The entire collection cost less than this coin is probably worth so it turned out to be a good deal:)

Very nice I would grade it VF-30
It has the second lowest mintage of the Barber dime series but value-wise, it is just under semi-key status. There are a number of other coins with mintages of less than 1 million that are worth considerably more although, IMO, the 1913-S is a bit undervalued and is not an easy coin to find above F-12.

thank you biokemist6. I was pretty excited when I found this coin amongst the collection. I paid NZ$150 for the entire collection and I have found some interesting coins in it.
This one has come out of the collection and gone into it's own airtite:)

Great coin! I agree with VF-30, maybe a bit higher detail wise, though that hit on the neck is noticable. It should bring VF-30 money though all day.

Is the mark on the chin usual on Barber dimes? I will try and take a better photo of it. It looks to be part of the coin rather than damage to the coin.
