Could someone give me some more information on this coin.
Its a George One Penny dated 1912 Just to the left of the date is the letter 'H'.
Is there any significance to this?

What form of grading and value would you put on this coin?

cheers

"H" is the mintmark, for Ralph Heaton & Sons of Birmingham, and you've got good eyes to spot it - most people have to be told where to look for it.

It is indeed scarcer - a mintmark-less coin in this condition would be worth only a few cents (according to my 2006 American Krause catalogue) while the 1912-H is worth a dollar or two. I'd grade it about Fine, though the little green spots worry me.
