I got my booklet from The Royal Mint today and noticed the design of the Britannia this year looks allot different than anything else I have seen in this series. What are your thoughts on this newest Britannia?

I like the design and the fact that the reverse changes each year.

I received my bullion one back in Dec.

Not a particularly attractive coin in my opinion. Maybe next year will be more to my liking.

The obverse and reverse are too similar. Which one is the queen? I do like the fact the design changes every year, but there's been better designs.

I think the face looks a bit ugly from the photo. It's like the exact opposite of patriotism!

I am a little torn on this one also, I usually like most all the designs they have used except for 1 or 2 but even they look better than this one. this one just doesn't do very much for me

i barely started to collect these as of this year. this is the first one that I picked up to start my collection. the design is relatively simple and is an "eh" design; but I like the fact that the design changes yearly.

I have always been a fan of the even-numbered years reverse design. But sometimes the odd-numbered
years designs haven't been as attractive. I can't remember the exact year, but on the reverse of one
coin Britannia was holding a trident and riding in a chariot, which I thought was quite a nice design.

Here is the Britannia that I particularly like:

I also like this one:

This is the standard, even-numbered year design:

i particularly liked last years design, 2008, and 1999. I was trying to track down last years, but every site I have been on says the sold out.

snooba - I'm with you on that first and third design. As for the 2010 - I'm not sure on this one. Maybe I'll ask for one for my birthday...

I've said this before in a different thread, but please allow me to reiterate...there have been some stunning Britannia coins, really beautiful works of art, which underscores how terrible modern US designs are in comparison. Let's agitate for better artists at the US Mint, because we are producing some awful stuff these days. And don't even get me started on the First Spouse disaster.
