Scored nine $2 US Notes in AU/CU from a local bank. This is the same bank (and same teller) that gave me two other $2 US Notes recently (a 1928C and 1928G).

Five 1963, one 1963A, three 1963A star.

Apparently there's a kid in town who gets paid by an old man in Red and Blue Seal notes. The kid cashes in the notes at the bank for "real money", and so the teller has a nice, consistent supply of obsolete currency. For some unexplained reason, he's only too happy to get rid of the Red Seal notes, but won't give me the Silver Certificates.

Best circulation find of notes ever (that I was able to take home - one bank had a full strap of 50 Blue Seal singles, and various other notes, including a Brown Seal $10 FRBN, but wouldn't sell...)

The teller probably thinks that the promise to pay in silver is still valid.

Cool, the only thing I ever got half way neat from the bank were a few rolls of 1979 SBA dollars that were still in the original wrapper. Too bad they are not real collectable, I will save them anyways, just for the fact they were 30 years old and in the original wrapper when I got them.

The teller didn't even know what they were. She asked "Do you want these things, whatever they are?"
