Hey guys!

I'm playing around with me cent collection and noticed a curious thing - my 2003p cent is steel. I thought steel production started in 2006 but see I am mistaken. As this is my only 2003 cent I have a question:

Are all 2003 steel? Some? Just RCM?

Help?

The first multi-ply steel cents for circulation were issued in 2002.

The "p" mark is not a mint mark it denotes plated steel.
No "p" means plated zinc
There are exceptions to this, they are uncommon, and have been discussed recently here on this forum.

Oh wow...DUH! LOL thanks guys, post was kinda obvious.

EDIT:
While I'm here I might as well ask - all the RCM marked coins are steel plated, correct? No RCM stamped copper/zinc/tin floating around that are not some strange error coins?
