What is the third color and the other grades?
Third color is green.
The grades that can be found are:
No Grade, black holder (Redfield only, holder says "a Coin from the Redfield Hoard" These are Redfield coins that they did not feel were uncirculated. These don't exist in Paramount holder because if they did they would just say "A silver dollar" and you are not going to be able to market that very well.
MS-60, Black holder (Redfield, and Paramount holders.)
MS-63, Black holder with the MS-60 grade on the holder changed to 63 using blue labeling tape BEFORE the holder was sealed. (Redfield and Paramount holders) These were done late in the marketing of the Redfield coins.
MS-65, Red holder (Redfield and Paramount holders) The Redfield version comes in two different shades of red and the leather graining on the red surface is different, one being coarse and one finely grained. The two types also have a difference in the font on the holders. On one the "Paramount International" line ends a half inch away from the edge of the holder on either side. On the other it ends less than a quarter inch from the edge of the holder.
MS-67, red holder (Redfield and Paramount holders) Similar to the MS-63 holders but the grade has been changed using red labeling tape.
MS-65+, Green holder (Redfield and Paramount holders) These are from early in the marketing and are coins they felt were better than MS-65, but the only other "defined grade" was 70 and they were not "70's". So they called them 65+ and sold then at a higher price. These holder are quite scarce.
I have examples of all of these except the MS-65+ holders and I have seen those.
