I had a grade in mind but now that I look at PCGS's photograde thing I am not sure my initial thought was correct so I figured I would leave it up to all of you to give your opinions on what grade you think this thing will fall in

I think AU-50 as well. It has most of the detail, but there looks to be mild rub on most of the surface and not much remaining luster. Very nice original looking quarter eagle!

Bryan, is that pretty close to the originality I mean color wise? If so, may have been cleaned at one time. Does look like luster in the protected devices. I'd say XF45.

my camera is all over the place when it comes to Gold coins for some reason but the color looks pretty close to my 1911 half eagle that was graded by NGC before cracked out. here is pictures of it

AU-50 looks right to me however these gold coins are tough to assign a grade..

I think it is an AU-58. Just a trace of wear on the cheek, headress and top of Eagle's wing.
