1928 Peace Dollar

I was in a local pawn shop just looking around and they had a small coin booth set up so I looked around and everything pretty much seemed normal except for a 1928 Peace dollar in a mylar holder priced at $200, I did not take a good look at it but it seemed like it was alright and was not obnoxiously worn. Knowing nothing of the significance of a 1928 Peace dollar I did not buy it. got home and looked it up and was shocked to see 375 in G-4 condition. Does anyone think I should buy it? or it maybe fake.

I would be wary. If prices seem too good to be true, they often are. Common fakes of these are "removed mintmarks"; so I would examine it carefully especially the area where a mintmark would be. If you could take pictures and post them here, some members would be able to help you authenticate it. It very well could just be a great deal, but $200 is a lot to gamble with.

$20 would be a no-brainer, but $200 is taking a considerable risk. Unless you know how to determine authenticity, I would suggest you pass on it.
