Im new to this site and dont really collect coins, but over the course of my work buying and selling precious metals I encounter hundreds of coins. Today I found a 1944 S Lincoln Penny that has the top third and lower third of the " 1 " missing as if it was never there, so the date appears as roughly .944. Also the last " T " in "TRUST" is slighty smaller than the first. I havent found any thing on this, can someone help me with what causes this and value if any, and if there is value how would I go about selling this? Thank you for your time.

Welcome to CCF.It sounds like an over abraded die or a Grease Filled Die neither of which is of any value.
