I am thinking about bidding on this coin but I think it has been cleaned. Could I get some opinions on it please. Thanks,

I dunno, it could be OK. I see a couple fine vertical hairlines in the center of Liberty's body but none in the fields. The photo probably doesn't fully reveal the luster but some does appear to be present. Nothing jumps out as a problem. I'd say it grades at least AU-55 and although the head isn't full it does have pretty strong detail. Is there a reverse photo?

If I were looking for an AU 1930 quarter I would consider this one. If the seller offers a good return policy and the price is right I wouldn't hesitate. Just my opinion, of course!

you gotta be real careful when buying expensive unslabbed coins sight unseen. I got burned twice (yes, I finally learned my lesson) after I found that coins I had bought were lightly scratched, which was not vis in the pics and both were sent back from PCGS as uncertifiable.

I think it has been lightly cleaned, due to the hairlines on the reverse, but there are still some lines on the shield and a little luster appears to be there, so it seems okay. I wouldn't bid on it, unless you're able to get it at a good price. Not a bad coin, but there are better ones out there if you keep looking.

That's weird...yesterday I posted a pic of the reverse and a comment. Today it showed my post 2 times, so I tried to delete one of them. But the system deleted both posts.

The auction closed at $69.59, which may not be a bad buy. Did you buy it Wornslick?

Here's the pic again.

Sorry Steve! It was I that removed your duplicate post, you must have removed the other one at the same time!

I knew that a collision was bound to happen eventually!

Looks like a pretty nice quarter to me. I wouldn't mind sticking that in my type set, cleaned or not.

Congrats on the big 6,000 jbuck!

No, I got scared and backed out. I am still looking though. E-Bay worries me.
