I really like the New Zealand & Australian paper "Princetane." I know the Series 1 NZ 1 pound notes are tough to find in higher grades.

Me too, but I know they get really expensive in higher grades.

That one is VG at best and possibly only good, but is complete and not missing chunks. The Series 2 5 pounds is better, but still has a few uneven creases and probably is not much above VF.

I am in two minds whether to sell the series 1 or keep it, as I really want a nicer example.

Look at all the security devices on the Solomon Island note as compared to the Russian note. Times are a changing.

A Guyana $1,$5 & $10 set, I liked the scenes on the back of these showing some of Guyana's industries.

- they have very similar spirograph patterns as seen on the Issues of the 1969-1975 (aka Multicoloured) series in Canada. These were the first notes I started to collect as a kid (& the 1954 series which were starting to disappear) in the sixties.

Your $1 was printed in 1967 & is a 100 year Confederation (the 2nd time BOC released a special issue). By the mid-seventies, during my first job at a car wash, I would see very few of those but mostly the odd Twenty or higher denominations which were tucked away (& forgotten) then spent. BTW: the 4th special issue by BOC was just recently in 2017 (a $10 marking Canada's 150 anniversary).

Our series that the "Bank of Guyana" reminds me of look like these:

-that's what I meant by spirograph pattern (which became popular in the seventies I believe)
