has anyone hear found any really graet deals at a flea market? I have gotten a ton deals on other things, but most coin dealers that I see are irreputable, or overpriced.

I ran a similar thread yesterday. Over the weekend I picked up a couple average date Morgans for $14 a piece.

I was sifting through a bowl of common date Indian cents and found a couple low grade(G-4)1858 Flying Eagle cents for $1.50 each at a local flea market. On another day at the same flea market I was looking through some common date silver Washington quarters and found a 1937S I got it for $1.65.

There is a local weekly flea market here that attracts a wide range of dealers of all sorts. Last week I was at a friend's coin booth when a friend of his came in with a Chinese Sycee Ingot. He wanted to know if it could possibly be real. Well to make a long story short it was a 7 Tael bar. Nice original piece worth quite a bit given today's silver prices. So he rushed back out. He came back in a few minutes with a second one. He found them being used by a guy selling old magazines as paper weights to hold down his stock in the wind. He got the pair for $20 each! They contain about 6 ounces each of raw silver but have a value of a couple hundred dollars each.

I hit the flea market again over the weekend. I was able to scoop up a Canadian silver dollar, a Mexican peso, and a Swiss frank all in my wife's birth year. Not bad for all under $15!
