I would say yes.I have seen silver coins with"milk"spots on them and they were priced less then those without the spots.I myself would not buy a coin with haze or spots on them,it negatively effects the eye appeal and value. John1
yes it will effect the grade, any imperfection on a proof coin effects the grade especially when it gets over 65. Milk spots are one of the things I know of that can really mess up a nice coin and there is nothing you can do about it because it is the way the planchets were prepared before striking
Force, that's a very interesting looking coin. It almost looks like mist or frost around the elk (? please-don't-get-mad-at-me-Canadians-if-that's-not-an-elk).
For less than $4 I couldn't beat the price! I believe the auction said it was from a roll. It has nice details however. Maybe the coin will look better in hand.
I would like to ask a question of the panel. What is the main cause of the hazing on a silver coin? I have a collection of silver proof State Quarters and I detect this hazing on a few of my coins.
