Hi all,

I am new here, hope I am doing this right.

I have some U.S.large bills I cannot seem to find a value on. One is a 1917 $1, legal tender,PCGS V G 10

32 IS A 1891 $2 Silver Cert. PCGS Good 6

last is a 1923 $1, taped on one end, Silver Cert. Not a real pretty bill.

One other oddity I received from our business is a strip of $1.00 bills 1985, 2 high, 3 across the serial #'s are not in sequence.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Yes, pictures showing the signature combinations would be the best way of determining if you might have something worth a premium.

There are other sources of determining value as well:

'Green Sheets' and 'Gold Sheets' help dealers to determine what to buy and sell these notes at.
Various catalogs will readily attatch values to notes based on year and signatures.

Or, if you are interested in a taste of 'reality', check out the 'completed listings' on ebay.

Without scans of these notes, let me say that a PCGS holder will add a certain amount of value to your notes.
The 1891 silver cert will be your most valuable item.
The 1923 silver cert (a very common note to collectors) with the tape is the dog of the bunch.

1917 US note in PCGS is also fairly common, but I do not understand why anyone would pay to have such a note placed into PCGS plastic unless there was a rarity perceived based on signatures.

The sheet of six notes started out as a sheet of 32 and was cut down to six by someone for some reason.
Still, there should be a premium on this mini sheet especially if it is in excellent condition.
(By the way, the serial numbers should 'not' be in sequence. This is normal).

If, for some reason you are unable to post pictures, please check out ebay's 'completed listings' for the information that you desire.

Thank you very much.
The signature combo is Tillman//Morgan

I have never posted a picture I'll see if I can do it.

Yes, you can doooooooiiiiiiiit !!

The Tillman/Morgan combo places the note in early years of the 20th century, but prior to series 1917, so I assume that you refer to the $2 silver cert of series 1891. Tillman/Morgan was not used on series 1917 notes, but if that is what is on your $1 US note, then it is series 1880 rather than 1917.
