They were scanned to Photoshop and compressed in MS Picture. The larger pictures are much better, but don't know how to get them to viewers since we can't send links or, I assume, email addresses. The bill does have a washed out appearance, but still has a little crispness which tells me it didn't go through a washing machine.

I would send you an email Nancy, but in your profile, you have evidently chosen not to receive them under 'contact info' in 'My CCF'.
If you are uncomfortable with receiving emails from just 'anyone', then your current profile setting will be fine. I think that if you wish to email someone here, and unless I am mistaken) your present setting would not preclude you from doing so by clicking on a username and then on the 'send so & so an email' button.

If your scanner allows you to adjust the 'dpi' (or size) of your scan (before you make the scan), you could experiment (by making several scans at several different settings) until you get an image of as close to 90 dpi as possible without going over 90 dpi (size shown to you in a box as you hover your mouse pointer over the scanned picture in 'my pictures' or wherever you keep your scans). You could then upload directly to your post without going through the hassle of photobucket.

How was that for a sentence? I never claimed to be an English major.
