Being a citizen of the good ol USA, will other mints let me purchase from them? i.e. The Royal Mint, The Royal Canadian Mint, The Royal Australian Mint? Moved to World Coins forum - SapEdited by tornandfrayed75 01/29/2010 11:44 pm

Absolutely, I've bought directly from all three (and the Perth Mint).

Yes, but the shipping charges will cost you. Better off finding an authorised dealer that specifically deals with those products.

Go to Eurocollections.com. They will have most of what the mints mentioned produced and most of the time at better prices.
I have done business with them half a dozen times and have never had any problems.

Most world mints that produce collector coins will have some sort of procedure in place to market and sell those coins to Americans. Quote: Yes, but the shipping charges will cost you. If you can find a US-based dealer that's an authorised distributor, that will save you the time and hassle of international shipping. Downies is a large Australian coin dealership that has an office in America; they'll sell you Australian stuff (and the stuff the Australian mints make for other countries), as well as other world coins.

I was just about to recommend Downies, myself. I do highly recommend them.

Many mints have their own webshop, for example the Dutch mint on https://www.knm.nl. They also ship abroad as do most of the other mints. If you want links to some good Dutch coin sellers, or at least the ones I did business with, just say so.

Right, but note that the KNM will only ship to addresses in the European Union. Sap mentioned Downies (in Australia), and oober mentioned Eurocollections.com (owned by Downies but located in California). Another major dealer in the US is rsmint.com, but they focus on European coins. Christian

That is odd that Bermuda won't ship coins to the U.S., will they ship anywhere else or do they prefer to just sell to the 8 people that live on that island? :P

Well...I don't know whether they ship to other countries or not. I just need to get one coin from Bermuda for my world silver coin - one coin one country project.

For Turkish mint : https://www.darphane.gov.trUnfortunately the webpage is in Turkish only. There used to be an older version of the Mint's webpage it was Bilingual. But not this one sorry. You can see the comemmoritives on sale right over that link, just click on the rolling fancy coins on the main page Turkish mint sells worldwide, however, they sell by phone, not via a webpage. If anyone wants to buy anything from there, I can do a favor like that, I can go there and buy whatever they want on their behalf at the listed price, without a commision or anything, and mail them the coins via registered mail, we can use PayPal.I am not looking to profit from that, I live close to the mint. You can see the prices on the webpage, 1 US $ is around This is my excuse on behalf of Turkish Mint not having a web based selling system.
