Yes. I'm downgrading so I can put it in my Dansco album.

I don't know if I would buy a key date in one of these old (dont know what to call them) grading holders. It is to easy to change the coin out and not leave any traces of doing it

Good point, Bryan. The idea of the photo is to be able to positively ID a particular coin, but in this case I can't positively match the photo with the the coin.

If the seller had posted decent pics it would be much easier to match from the photos. As it is, the photo cert shows the coin smaller than than an actual cent Many of the old ANACS photo certificates I have seen are quite conservatively graded.

I'd hold out for another one. I don't care for these old "holders" either.

Here's an interesting exchange between myself and the seller. His auction states no returns are accepted, but under terms of sale it states, "Satisfaction and Authenticity are Guaranteed!" If there are no returns how is my satisfaction guaranteed?
Me: "Your auction states no returns are accepted, but then it also states "Satisfaction Guaranteed." Could you please clarify your return policy, if there is one?"
His Reply: "Only if not as described."
Yeah, I'm staying away from this guy.

Here is my philosophy on ebay. There are way too many shady people on there that if they don't have at least 3 years with ebay and 100% positive feedback and a 7-10 day return privilege, I just don't bid. That's how you have to look at it unfortunately.

Personally, if I cannot hold a coin of this value in hand, I am only buying from a source I completely trust. I use Heritage Auctions for these types of purchases and have been completely satisfied. Jim

Yeah, I'm staying away from this guy. If I were offering this coin I'd bend over backwards for my potential bidders' reasonable questions. This coin may be authentic. "Walls(?) Fargo Coin Shop" may not be trademark infringement, too. I think you made the right decision to pass based on this ambiguity and this flaky reply.

You cannot ID a 100% feedback rating with a trustworthy person either.......
the coin in the auctiva pics looks decent but I do not even buy anything higher end anymore unless I have looked at it first, usually with a loupe. I'ts just too dangerous.
And 'satisfaction guaranteed' is used a lot but is a cop out.....how can anyone know for sure that whoever buys the coin will be satisfied? 100 of us can look at the same coin and all have a diff opinion of it.
