I might be able to make a Paypal account, so I was curious, can you receive payments with a Personal account, or can you only do that with Business and Premier accounts? Thanks.

Yes, anyone can receive money. But I believe that once you cross a certain threshold (I think it's $500) you're forced to upgrade to a business account.

Yeah, for some reason or another they forced me to upgrade to a Premier account.

Ok thanks, I just made a Personal account. One more question though: If I purchase say $10 worth of items and my Paypal balance is $0.00, will it automatically take money from my bank account, as I registered my bank account after the registration process? Thanks, and sorry for all these questions.

yes, but it takes a couple of days. Therefore it takes longer to get the money to the seller, and longer for you to get the item you purchased.

Thanks, I just did a very small ebay transaction, to see how everything works, and it seems to be fine. I decided I'll just use my debit card.

Quote: can you receive payments with a Personal account, or can you only do that with Business and Premier accounts? You can receive payment with a personal account, but it used to be that if the payment was funded by a credit card you had to upgrade to a business account. I don't know if that is still true.
