doesn't look polished to me but its hard to really tell with the pictures because of the lighting and not sure about the small S either, someone else will have to chime in on that one because I can't even see the Mint Mark. I can tell you bid in Greysheet for this type is $150.00 in MS-63 and $240.00 in MS-64

The company seems relatively legit, but I would stay away from them. All their photos give the coins a polished, unoriginal look. You can find nicer SLQ's for the same price or below.
Edited to add: You can see the detail on the eagle's breast and the lines on the shield, leading me to think that in actuality it is original.

yeah ,that polished look, whether polished or not,l is what is making me scrathc my head. But I have been looking for a 28-s small for a long time - they seem to be pretty tough to find in higher grade.

That looks like a stock photo of a 28 S(even though I dont see the "S" in the photo) and not the actual coin the seller is offering.
In too good a polished looking condition.

I just wouldn't touch that coin. That cannot be original mint luster.

Quote: That looks like a stock photo of a 28 S I am not sure what would make you think this especially since in the description it states "BID WITH CONFIDENCE The item pictured is exactly what you will receive" I still don't see any signs of polishing and dont really understand why others are saying it can't be original. I have seen other pictures of SLQ that when they are pictured with to much light they look like this. I am in no way saying you should buy this coin, I am just saying there is nothing that makes me think it has been polished or anything. Also when I looked at all of his negative feedback it seems there is only 1 that said the coin wasn't as described and all the others are talking about slow shipping, they have had 4 negatives from 3 different people and like I said 3 of those 4 were about shipping slowly

I don't think the coin is original, but it's not necessarily polished or harshly cleaned either. I think it has been dipped enough to remove the toning, but I think the luster is natural. There is no way a coin that old can have no toning whatsoever unless it was messed with. However, they dipped it relatively well as to not take off the luster. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't attempt a conclusion of any sort from those photographs. The seller does himself a disservice by offering such washed-out shots of what might be excellent coins.

You would think after 698 listings he would learn to take a good photo unless it's done purposely.Just me but I would pass on it.Better to see that kinda money in hand.

offer $26! Looks off-center to to me. I certainly wouldn't buy that coin from saying simply two photos.
When I am faced with this situation I always ask the seller for a picture of the coin from a particular angle so that a stock photo cannot be used. IMHO

I blew these pictures up and reposted it here. I circled some of the pics and slag that you typically don't see from unauthentic coin. You decide!
