The islands appear to be the incuse "waves" that I would look for and Florida is pointing more south (making the east coast straighter and less curved than the other two types). I call it a great find!

Great find!
Now check to see if your coin is the "March Release" or "August Release"
The one I found last month is an "August Release" Has the Die scratch by the E. Pluribus and the dot in the letter O of Dollar.
According to the IKEGROUP.COM members, the March Release is even more rarer than the August Release.
Check it out on the IKEGROUP.COM site.

Nice finds slick. How did you manage 500 Ikes from your bank? I've asked several banks in my area for those and I've gotten exactly 4 of them in 3 years !

The head teller is really nice. She called someone and asked if they had any Ikes. Originally it was only 491. When she ordered a few days later they had 500. If you know a good head teller, ask her to call the central vault and see if they have any.
I know someone who has 30,000 IKE's ( DON'T ASK!! I am not revealing my information )
Does anyone have an idea what this type 2 is worth?

I used to order two boxes of half dollars, at a time, amnd had no problems with the bank. They would "sell" me one, and hold the other, while I went thru the first one. Then I would but the second one when returning the "left-overs". I eventually gave up on them, because I was never able to get a roll of '78-D. I tried to gather all the "P" I could fing, but that was a total waste of time. I wasnte a solid date roll set. It didn't work out, so I just cashed them in for boxes of quarters. Same price, so not problem. There were about three siolver half dollars in two dozen boxes. Not worth the trouble. Once io finish my IHC sets, I will check into my "Ikes", to see what is there. Thanks for the website address. it will come in handy, in the near future. Dick
