I'm looking on ebay right now for two flying eagle variety cents: the 1858 large letters low leaves, and the 1858 small letters high leaves.

What is the easiest way to tell the difference between the large letters and the small letters varieties? I usually look at the O and the AM, but in lower grade cents sometimes it's hard to tell.

I have to depend on the"AM", due to my vision problem. If you are handy with Photoshop, or another such application, where you can make overlays, then you can tell right away. Hope this helps,
Dick
