This would look GREAT in my bust dime set and without spending $15,000 or getting a G coin, it seems the best I can do for now. What do you guys think of the coin and the listing? I'm really seriously considering purchasing it but I've never dropped this much money on something before...

They seem to be honest sellers although the shipping and handling seems a bit high to me.Aren't you concerned about the "slight bend?"

I am halfwitty, but I just can't afford a $10000 coin and I'd rather have a higher grade one that looks decent with problems, if its going to go in an album. That is, if this was actually a dime = (

Well I wish I could afford $10000 coins, I guess I am getting there...the most valuable coins I have purchased have been in the $1000-$2000 range. I guess thats pretty good for a college guy, but when I live on my own, I might have even less to spend on coins unless I have a good job.

kinda sad to see all those marks running along the semi-creased area on both sides. Hopefully it wasn't done while straightening.
No doubt dipped too--what do you think?

I,m glad you found out it was a Half Dime and didn't buy it. A bent coin can never be restored and it would always bother me if I had it. Also, considering the cost of this early type, I would hold out for a slabbed example. Sorry for all the unsolicited advice.

Yeah no problem. I'm also very wary of buying a coin like this unslabbed, would only do so from an extremely reliable company. I'd have to talk to them a bit before considering it definitely. I just don't mind the bends because I figure I won't see it in an album. Hopefully some day I will be able to afford $10,000 coins, but unless I'm rich when I'm older that might be pretty difficult haha
