I'm looking to add one of these to my collection.
Unfortunately,my dealer doesn't carry anything but
US coins.I'm leary about buying over the internet,
other than this forum.Do you know of any reputable places
for me to check out, places you personally familiar with?
Any advice appreciated.sn31.

Won't your dealer order one for you or is he/she just steadfast in selling U.S.? Unless someone else has one to trade or sell first, I can pick one up for you. I'll see what "Greg" is selling them for next week since Spot has dropped and he follows the bullion markets.

I love the Canadian Maple Leafs in Silver or Gold. They are both prized possessions in my collection for enjoyment and investment purposes. The ASE's are beautful too. So many choices! The Brittania is also a coin that you may enjoy, especially with it's close "ties" with Canada and your Canadian collection. Comprende?

One good dealer is http://www.colonialacres.com/rcm07.shtml

But I think that you can get them cheaper from US.Canadian dealers have the tendency to be more expensive.Yes,for our own Maple Leafs too.I've heard US dealers selling just above spot price, but haven't found a Canadian one yet

I think my dealer usaully sell them for about 3-4 dollar over spot. If you would like I can call him and check and can pick you up one. I am going out of town for the weekend and will not make it to the coin shop tell next week though. But I am sure there are other who can give you links or can help you out as well. He is one site I really like seem like they are a little pricey though for the Maple leaf http://www.jtcoins.com/
let me know what I can do to help if needed

Recently aquired a Silver Maple Leaf from an "un-named source" and a great price.
I have to agree, it's a great peice to any collection and couldn't be more thrilled with mine.

Cheers
M

I have complete 1 ounce sets of the Canadian Maple Leaf, as well as ASE's, Britannias, and Australian Lunar coins.

They are all my favorites. Talk about beautiful! Wish I could afford the gold versions.

By the way, I buy my Maple Leafs from my coin dealer, who sells them to me for a couple dollars over the spot price.
Rest in Peace

ebay sellers are still charging an arm and a leg for the silver maple leafs. I guess they are trying to recover their losses from when silver was over $15/oz. I hope that the current spot prices will be reflected in the market place soon.
