Acquired a PCGS MS 62 1899-O VAM 6 Micro O California Pedigree.

I was very surprised to see a coin from LLoyd Gabbert's fabulous California collection available for sale.

I am very happy for you Buddy. If you like it, you know that I like it for you. Being as this coin is what it is, it very well might have far more of a 'California' pedigree than we know. I hope that you know I mean by that, and that I say it in fun.

I always wondered who was behind the California collections, but was too shy to ask.

There was a listing error, the coin I acquired is a PCGS MS 62 1889-O VAM 6 California Pedigree. A nice re punched date.
As big game hunters go, this is a case of in my excitement of trying to shoot the big game in the Ubangi and the shot went instead to the Zambezi. Still, this my first pedigree coin and I am happy none-the-less.

Sort of like aiming at that pink elephant, but hitting an large African bull instead.

In that case, I am all the happier for you. Authenticity has always held a special place in my heart.

Just to let you know you are not alone because I wasn't sure who it was either even though I thought it was Lloyd. I just wish they had made their sets where all could see especially since one is the all time greatest set since 2003 but oh well, I guess they wanted to keep them to themselves. I notices he also has the #2 Basic set of all-time, the #1 "with varieties" set of all-time, and #1 of all-time for all of the various VAM sets and this isn't including the #1 Peace dollar basic set of all time
