ronpacheco4 New Member United States 41 Posts	Posted 02/18/2010 10:45 pm bought a 1963 proof franklin several years ago graded ms 70.however under the magnifier can see two white flyspecks.looks like the grader might have breathe one it when he was inspecting it.what do you think it does to the grade and value Report this Post to the Staff

The big question is whether it is in a reputable grading service slab. A PCGS PR-70 coin would be worth big bucks. A PR-70 or MS-70 Franklin in an SGS holder will be drastically overgraded and possibly only worth bullion value. Can you post photos of the coin and the slab? Report this Post to the Staff

The top 2 grading services are PCGS and NGC and neither have ever graded any Franklins PR70 and there are not many PR69s either. Report this Post to the Staff
ronpacheco4 New Member United States 41 Posts	Posted 02/19/2010 9:43 pm I'm going to have to get it out of storage.it'll be a few weeks before I can get to it.as its four hours away .its been years since I looked at it.maybe I'm wrong about the grade but the flyspecks I rremember well.i dont know if my camera can take good enough pictures.but if its good enough i'll post Report this Post to the Staff
