I know you reached 101 easily but here's a few more.

*You can put coins in parking meters and avoid fines.
*For throwing real hard into those baskets at toll booths.
*My family has a tradition of taping a silver dollar on a newborns navel so it won't be an "outie".
*You can throw coins into guitar cases in the subway or Central Park where a starving musician is playing for tips.
*You can put coins in those plastic Easter eggs and have a more healthy Easter egg hunt.
*Italians put coins under statues for luck or some reason I believe, and have little concern what the coin is or how much it is worth.
*Use coins to fill a piggy bank.
*You can use 5 and 10 cent pieces to Nickel and Dime somebody to death!

Thanks for helping support CCF dreamstones!

I was repairing my son's atv recently and had to remove a bolt that held a gear on. I put a copper penny between the two meshing gear teeth to stop them from turning when I loosened the bolt.

I guess I could use a penny as a target for a airsoft gun

P.S. Sorry if this is already used!

I know coins can be effectively used to level the edges of a light table. Ideally you want your left, right and top edges set perfectly flush with the glass and the bottom edge sitting higher than the glass so your rulers and t-square and everything else isn't falling on the floor. I set up a whole department that way once everyone came around "hey, set mine up the way you have yours". This was back in the graphic arts film days. Like standardized shims you just had to find the right combination of pennies and/or nickels to get the height you needed.

Pitching pennies against the wall earned many a student a trip to the principal's office. Hehehe, not speaking from experience :-) That final scene from the movie "The Cincinnati Kid" where Steve McQueen pitches his last coin and gets it taken by the little kid. Only the old fogies like me will remember that movie.

-Test target for a metal detector
-A template for drawing circles on paper
-Copper pennies can be used for clarifying the water in a toilet cistern. (the copper kills the algae that browns the walls of the cistern)

A friend of mine made a table top with thousands of coins.

I have a watch made with a Bhutan 2000 Ngultram gold coin

I have thrown three coins into the Treve Fountain in Rome.

In the 18th. century the press gangs would put a coin in the bottom of someones glass of beer and once he had drank the beer he would be pressed into the navy for accepting the king's shilling.

Another use feeding slot machines.

Here are three more. (1) Keep silver dollar in breast pocket to stop bullet from hitting your heart. (2) Big Ben in london has a stack of old British coins in machine room to add or remove from the pendelum to speed it up or slow it down. (3) You can give someone a penny for their thoughts.
