Does this coin look "off" to anyone? What I mean is does anything look wrong with this coin?

It does look a little odd. The color looks a bit strange to me.

Copper roofs turn green too.

It's not the green color, but it's the way it looks artificial to me

I think it is a little weird too (can't really explain it) but I'm not an expert... does anything about it say : "FAKE", "Counterfeit", "COPY", or "Replica"?

Not really. Just "badly corroded."

Have you weighed it? I have some counterfeits that were pretty well done in lead that don't weigh what they should.

The fact that the Mint only minted 500 of these would make me suspicious of fakes...

If you are unsure about it, as some of us are than you might want to think twice about buying it.

Usually the first thing to show wear on this coin is the "WE" on the obverse...but this one looks to be worn on the sides

The "3" in the year 1873 looks closed. I thought is was an "8".

I had no idea you were thinking of buying this coin. Don't walk - run away. It's a Proof-only issue, quite rare, and even in the extremely corroded condition shown here, worth probably $800 if real.
You want to risk that kind of money on it? I didn't think so.

I would want an 800.00 rare coin even in corroded condition to at least be in an ANACS slab just for authentication. If I am dealing with someone on high dollar rarities that I am not 100% sure of I either suggest they send it to ANACS and get it authenticated and if it comes back real I pay the grading fees and buy the coin, if it doesn't then they are stuck, if they refuse they are also stuck finding another sucker

I agree with Dave. The wear doesn't look right and the "flatness" of the overall look seems different.
