Not being a expert .. In my opinion, they are not real coins. If I am seeing the picture right, they have reeded edges.

I'm not sure? They are being sent to me from my cousin from philly who found them in a 200 year old home. I'll post better pictures when they are in hand.

What they looked like to me was half dollars. Because I do not know the size, same design for half and dollar coins. But a 1804 silver dollar would be ultra rare.
The biggest problem is they had letter edges. Reeded edge did not start until 1836.

I found these pictures on PC GS website to which I am a member. The descriptions provided indicate that they did not pay much attention to aesthetics and finite detail. I can't wait to get them and scrutinize them!

Half Dollars and Dollars of that era had lettered edges, not reeded. There were no 1804 Half Dollars minted and the odds of "finding" an 1804 Dollar are pretty much zero(especially considering they weren't actually minted in 1804). The quarters, dimes, and Half Dimes were reeded but there were no 1803 Quarters minted and 1804 is a very rare date with a mintage of only 6,738. 1804 Dimes are fairly rare as well with a mintage of only 8,265 and no 1804 Half Dimes were minted.

But I see no denomination on them.

Letter edge coins have denomination on the edge, reeded edge coins have denomination on the reverse. I would also have to say the coins pictured, to me, have a cast look.

They're not real, and there's no chance that they're real.Reeding did not appear on US coinage until 1836. These "coins" are reeded. The 1804 Dollar variants which were produced later in the 19th Century weren't reeded.

Absolutely no chance of being real and you don't have to see the edges to know it.
