The picture on the coin album reminds me of a coin that I want, but, does not exist yet...a REVERSE PROOF Eisenhower dollar...the mint could do a Limited Edition 3 piece set(like what they do for the silver eagles)..1 proof, 1 reverse proof, and 1 clad silver..could be a "40th Bicentennial Anniversary" honorary set dated 1976-2016.

What a concept - an RP Ike! Write your congressman and get the ball rolling!

BTW - b/c I know nothing of grading Ikes ... what would stop the recently posted Ikes from being PF70s... just politics?

Mine are AU at best but the rest are stunning, especially the one that is as old as I am (1974) I just found an UA '74 half in a roll along with a '74 that looked as bad as I feel, always interesting to see how thing my age have fared better or worse than me.

1971-S DDO FS-106 -- only 3 more to go! This one graded low because there are actually fingerprints on the coin. But that's OK. I paid book value for it ($125). Having the collection complete is more important to me than having higher grades, at least as far as these FS varieties go. I'm going to be forced into lower grades for the FS-103 and FS-801 too, if they ever come up for sale. Then, if the "nightcrawler" ever gets added to the CPG I'm in real trouble!

Nice Darth...a lot of the Ikegroup fella's seem happy with the PCGS conservation...that may be an option to remove your prints, and, get an upgrade to boot, 1 to 2 points, usually....while not inexpensive, they are using it on higher-end IKEs, and it seems to be working..just a thought for any submissions in the future...

Great suggestion! I will keep this in mind for the future. So, PCGS will actually still grade the coin after conservation? No details slab? That's pretty awesome. When NGC conserved one of my Morgans it was given a details grade.

I might wish it as well, but I am glad they did, because my fully filled Eisenhower Dansco is my favourite album. It would drive me nuts wondering when it would be complete. Thank you, SBA.

Besides, I had last year's Five-Star dollar and the 1990 Eisenhower Centennial dollar to satisfy my Eisenhower obsession. Of course, there is always hope for a Coin and Chronicles set in 2015.

Now that's a pretty Ike - and I normally do not care for toned coins!

OK - then how about a State Eisenhower dollar program? That's one of the mint gimmicks I might have actually gone for. But I would want to have kept the eagle on the moon REV - so maybe make a normal REV and a fancy REV for each of the 50 States.

A fifty state Eisenhower dollar program? I can dig it!

Very nice, swiss89!

Some serious tone on that one, 1188howest.
