Quote: Ever see a pl/dmpl business strike ike?... Why, yes I have, Cascade- and I think I still have it. Mine is a bicentennial too, and it has a very satiny appearance. I'll see if I can find it. I believe it's one of the coins hiding in my monster box. Quote: I've only seen one business strike ike slabbed as proof like and that was NGC. It's the only PL ike that comes up in Google searches. Keep us updated, buddy. Quote: and was surprised to receive a circulated Proof Ike for my $1 note... 1974-S Proof... Does this Ike really look as red as the photos show? I absolutely love it. It looks rusty. Nice. Just look at all the fun we get to have with Ikes that cost little money. Such a win-win. I can't believe more people haven't caught on.

Say WHAT darth?! You have a slabbed PL bi-ike! Yes, find it. Spend all day if you have too but we must see it I don't know if I actually saw it or not in my searches a month or two ago. This is the IG thread that referenced it... http://forum2.ikegroup.info/viewtop...b&view=print

Can you guys please stop! I try and stay away from this thread and it gets bumped to the top and my wallet just starts crying. I've slowed on the registry set Ikes lately and been working on my Lincolns. I'm still spending the same amount of money but it's a little easier spending it on 100ish year old coins vs coins as old as I am. Some really nice Ikes posted lately though. If there is a PL Ike attribution I can only imagine the premium increase added for those 2 letters. I have a bigger coin show this weekend I'm gonna do some serious digging in dealers stock.

I hope you're not too upset. Oh, how I wish it were slabbed as such. No, mine is raw too. I remember when I saw it. It just jumped out at me- like a sparkling jewel. Remember that scene in Romancing the Stone when they pulled the gem out of the porcelain rabbit? Yeah, like that. Quote: Can you guys please stop!

Hmmmmm, just won an Ike Dansco with slipcover for $10 today. Stopped by the LCS and asked if they had any IKE proofs. Good day. Should I post my latest acquisitions as a group, or one at a time?

Ok, this time I really found the coin I was talking about, and it's a 1976-P Type 1! It's bright white and very satiny. I also found some other gems that I had apparently forgotten about. A nice 1974-D Toner with a strange X pattern: A very clean 1977-D: And a very cool "woody" Ike. Check out those polish lines!

I found this 1976 T1 on the bay, and it appears to be very glossy. Of course, it may just be the lighting, or maybe Philly produced some sparklers that year before the design change. Just thinking out loud. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-Type-1...AOSw3xJVa5c2
