1973 S Silver Proof (Series Key)
for $5, has some disturbance in the reverse fields about 3:00, but otherwise a beauty.

Great Pickup and price.

Still looking for a raw one of those myself. I hate to break open a Brown Box to fill a hole.

I got an Ike in the mail two days in a row this week. For less than $10 I couldn't pass on this '78:

Today I received this upgrade for my registry set. There's no way I'll ever be able to afford a 67, so this 66 will do just fine.
Both are lovely!

WOW. May I ask where you acquired this key? I'm very curious. I've never seen one sell this low- a home run for sure! Congrats!

Thanks, Mont. It's always satisfying when I can improve my set just a little bit more.

I sent you a PM, Mont.

@Kevin - it's a Capital Plastics holder made out of wood. Interesting, for sure. It's certainly a unique way to display your Ikes.

I am looking to grade some 1973 Ike's. Is there much value in doing so. ? I have mint uncir set was going to grade the p and d 1973. Being that I have like 12 free grades. And low value coins I figured I'd use what I can to make a few bucks to get better coins to send off for grading but would start with what I have. Does anyone have any advice as to grading the 73 or no. ? I have them still in mint cell. I have 1961 63 65 66 SMS mints as well was going to send a few kenndys off as well maybee a Washington. But my concern is on the Ike's. Is it worth sending the two off being that I'm not paying for the grass and there mint sealed. ?

I am a hunter. My grounds are pawn shops, and gold buying shops. This is part of a very successful hunt that I have already posted a few of the other wins from.

Looks interesting. Are you going to finish it with something, like stain, paint, or some sort of covering?

Wow Kevin. You have definitely been bitten by the Ike bug. Welcome to the club.

Interesting display piece. I was thinking of doing something similar. Can't wait to see your finished product.

Funny you mention the Lincoln avatar. Just earlier today I posted a request to change it to a cool 1918 English Penny "Stormtrooper" carving by Shaun Hughes. They haven't gotten to it yet, though. Did you get my last email?
