You mean beyond wrong planchet silver denver strikes? I'd get familiar with the varieties that are known and look for those- if you like silver ikes- try to get some 71 peg legs or 72 shadow ikes. they are cool and the 71-s peg legs sell for decent money when they come nice.

A few right off the top of my head that I look for when I run across
a batch at a small coin shop for a little over face.
Have not been lucky enough to find any in a bank in a couple of years.
I always seem to just miss them. I think there is concentration of
Ike nuts in my town.

Very nice coins.

Thanks to this thread, I'm drawn to the IKE series and would like to build a set. I like series that had ended so at least we know how many coins and the cost to build a complete set.

Out of curiosity, what would I expected to pay for a Complete set of IKE in Dansco Album (in low MS grade and should contain all varieties & composition)? What would the price range be for such a set?

I'd say 200+. Personally I'd get one with all the major design varieties- that would set you back maybe another 100.

GradeView will keep us busy through the summer and early fall. V. I will follow shortly thereafter. I think when it's all said and done, all three volumes will go together nicely.
