Here's an Ike image you don't see every day. Bonus points if someone can identify what's going on here.

Die is getting engraved?

Edit: looked at it again and realized that the devices are outward. So it is the hub getting engraved?

I found this one in a roll of mixed date 71 and 72 Ike's
I bought this past summer. Finally had time to look through a
few of them.

Here's a neat 1978-D severe Peg leg...called "Rare", in the Ike Book, I would agree, with Denver 78's "easier" than Philly coins...A Philly BU Peg Leg would be a real treat to find..still hunting......I have only found 4 of these in 5 years, all Denver coins, this one being the coolest, with almost NO flare at bottom of leg...too bad the coin is chewed up, still a keeper for the IKE Peg Leg Album. A PROOF 1978 Peg Leg would be icing on the cake...always keep your eyes peeled for Proof Peg Legs..fun to hunt for indeed.
Happy Hunting!
Cal G.

I have not had very much luck in finding them lately.
They seem to come and go in waves.
