Correct. All 1976 40% Eisenhower dollars are Variety 1.

Another recent addition. I have not made it to get more 2X2's
So I had to shoot this one in the 2X2 that I purchased it in.
Which is the reason for the glare at the top.

My Ike Hoard so far: Complete PCGS MS Set, full bank box with 25 rolls (500 Ikes), 32 Proof sets with multiples of each year. I have more 77's and 78's because, well heck, I got 'em for $5 each! Also - 5 uncirculated silver Ikes. The more I buy Ikes, the more I love them. I just prefer buying big, hefty dollar coins than anything else. A coin that I can't feel in my hand doesn't interest me as much. I only wish that I could find these at banks for face value like several members here seem to be able to do. Enjoy!

@jbuck, you must really love IKE's! You're drooling all over the board. You can have one of mine for free. Wait.. I like IKE's too. Never mind... It's to hard for me to send you one.

Darth Morgan, Very Nice Hoard, I have to agree whole heartedly with
JBuck

Charles, What did she come back as?
I would love to spend 10 minutes examining PCGS's lighting set up for
their photography, I have always loved the way all of the details come
out. And their ability to capture some of the luster.
A quite hard thing to accomplish. Especially on the Obverse
of the Eisenhower's. I tend to end up with dark areas on the
Obverses much more than the PCGS photographs do.
