Very nice upgrade. That 72S MS68 really jumps out at you!

Thanks chuckster, I am hoping that the lighting is not the only difference! I did not break out my copy stand and Jansjos for the 1974-S image, he's a beauty, but I think that I got a good deal on the 72-S.

Chuck, Sorry for the delayed response, all of my Ike stuff is packed up and I am trying to do this from memory. 72 S Proof DDO The left side of the both "T"s almost looks like it has some tripling from the photos. Which is interesting to me. I hope Tom finds that it is something unique. It would be very cool. Can't wait to hear what his opinion is. My fingers are crossed for you my friend. Terry

Thanks Terry, but I just got the bad news from Tom via E.mail- no winners :( He explained in a note along with returning the coins, so when I get both back I'll post his results. I think I'm going to stop looking at any 72S Ike's for any doubling! I have a gut feeling that it's that dreaded 72S MASTER DIE DOUBLING (BLAH!) LOL. On the brighter side, check out pics below from my latest win on E-Bay a few days ago. (Won it for a shade over $28.00!) It just came in the mail this afternoon: 1971S Proof FS-$1-1971S-106 (CONECA:DDO-006)

I found a possible new die marker for the DDR-001..a nice die gouge in between you & I of UNITED, which shows as a raised dot(incused of die)...curious if you check your's, and reply, ...also, this coin appears to have a clashed W from WE, on reverse, under UNUM...you decide...never seen this letter transfer before. I'd love to, but unfortunately it's no longer in my possession :(
Sold it ( one of the few coins that I have regrets on selling!)
Dr Wiles never picked up on those die-markers when I sent it to him originally for attribution with coneca Variety Vista.( Graded it MS60 and EDS!- ANACS graded it AU58- FEV- RDV-006 DDO-001/DDR001.
Rob had one of these and so does Terry ( stewart) , maybe they can check their coins for these die-markers?
Congrats again on a great find!
Chuck.
