As posted about an hour ago, I have obtained Colorado Statehood Quarters from today's launch ceremonies in Denver. I post this here, rather than "Coins for sale..." because I don't sell coins. Any CoinCommunity member wanting a "first day of issue" Colorado quarter is welcome to e-mail me with your request. I would simply offer them for free, but if the requests are high it would dent my budget. So, how about a quarter for face value plus a few cents for postage? I would mail you one of the quarters I purchased today at the Capitol Building in Denver. In addition, for what it's worth, I would include a little C.O.A., so that someday it might be looked at and understood it wasn't just an uncirculated Colorado Statehood Quarter, but one issued on the very first day, June 14. Gary, I am interested, how about the "P" mint mark.
Do you have others states as I am missing some.

Bryan:
Haven't thought it through.
A coin? A couple postage stamps. Whatever.
bm1947:
I've looked at the quarters a bit, and they are all Denver mint.
Regarding other quarters, I have several dozen of each one. I have traded some, including some with a couple Aussies. Happy to help by sending you what you need, if you e-mail me and make a proposition. Unfortunately, I can only offer Denver mintmarks.

For those concerned with how to send 50 cents, how about sending a dollar, and I'll mail you two quarters?
Response here locally has been great. When friends learned where I had been, there were lots of requests. In addition, I currently have eight Coin Community members who want a quarter.
If I have the mailing addresses, I'll have them in the mail before the week is over.

That sounds like a plan to me! I'm fine with having an extra quarter. Just out of curiosity, how many of them did you get?

fengk: I bought enough of the special cardboard display sets to take care of my kids, grandkids, myself and my wife, and one for Terry who had made the request before we went to Denver. Regarding rolls, I bought four, which sounds like a lot, but it really isn't when you consider I want to put several aside for each kid and grandkid, as well as all the requests I have had. At the ceremonies there were literally hundreds of people who appeared to be buying the maximum of 10 rolls per individual. I would guess those coins will be showing up on ebay.

Again, please e-mail me if you want a quarter.
I'll have a little form letter to send back to you with information.
Along with the quarter I'll send a C.O.A. pledging that the quarter came from Denver, obtained following the launch ceremonies, on June 14, 2006.
