my apologies for not having a picture. my camera is not capable of capturing the doubling.

i just bought a 30x loupe and have been finding some amazing things in my collection.

my mom had bought me an 1881 Indian Head in VF corroded condition for $8 from the local coin shop in a 2x2 flip, after looking through the cellophane I was shocked! so I cracked it open.
i only noticed the doubling around the letters in "UNITED" and "AMERICA" there was no apparent doubling anywhere else that my untrained eye could see.

so if anyone has any information on pricing or resources on common or rare indian head errors or DDO'S, please let me know! THANKS

If it looks like the coin in this post, then it is common Longacre Doubling.

Do you mean repunched? There are alot of RPDs in the Indian Head series, some do not really have a premium at all while others are worth moon money. As for value on the Longacre doubling, it does not have a premium except as an educational example.
