I pick it up occasionally on the newsstand, especially if there's an interesting story inside.
Sadly, it's nothing like it once was. Once upon a time it was a section in "The Coin, Stamp and Antique News", which I loved because I had interests in all three areas. Eventually Coins and Stamps got their own papers and Antiques were just cut loose, never to be reported on again.

It is well worth the subscription price. Always a couple of interesting articles and Michael Findlay's Trends is pretty much the standard for prices.

The price per issue is basically negligible if you subscribe a couple years at a time. I always enjoy those days where CCN and a couple coins show up in the mail at the same time, and I spend the early evening inspecting new treasures and reading through the articles.

Is there ever any information in there or "leads" in the ads contained in there, to buying a bank box of mixed Canadian Cents and having it shipped to Kansas ? .....

I picked up a copy this week. About time. My last copy was dated April 2009. Good to see Findlay chopping away at trends prices. About time and he has much more work to do. Trends should reflect the market collectors live in.

a bank box of mixed Canadian Cents?
Not really. But the shipping charges are the problem. Canada Post will do a flat rate box to the states for $17 but it has a 5 KG maximum. A case of cents is about 8 KG so I think the cheapest shipping would be about $24 for $25 worth of cents!

For the pleasure of treasure seeking old keepers from a Canadian box...... Is it bad/stupid that I'm STILL kind of wanting to do that DESPITE the hefty cost ? ... Paying Two Cents apiece, basically, doesn't sound like the most brilliant thing in the world to do....but IF I find some really old coins......or just a bunch of keepers....complete an album.....or even the Copper ones.... would it really be that dumb of an idea ? ... Of course....just a "one time thing" though...... not something I'd wanna pay for even once every 4 years !

Can I pick up a copy at Indigo? I've never seen them for sale outside of a coin show.

isn't Indigo/Chapters the same thing? Regardless its only select 'branches' that carry it..not all of them, but I get the feeling its more of them than not. If your in Toronto, The World Biggest Book Store downtown carries it. Ive actually had a couple letters published in that periodical to Terry Campbell about some interesting coin strikes and associated values.
