This also came part of a complete 1932-1964 set that I aquired about 6 months ago. I am just now getting around to cataloging and inputing the individual coins into my database system.

I do not think this coin has an F12 grade, yet no guidance exists for assessing lower grades in the 2010 Red Book.

Any input as to grade would be appreciated. (A 1932-D coin with similar status was posted earlier, too)

Thanks.

It's rough but still a 32s.

Anyone care to venture a guess as to value? I'd like to accredit some value to it in the database system.

Thanks.

I think this is better than F-2. It looks alot like the G-4 in my grading book. Value around $100-$110 at good.

Thanks JimR, biokemist - I'll go with the lower conservative estimate and put $100 in the system, with a grade of G4. I had suspected it was indeed a G4.

BTW - considering I paid $252.00 for the exhaustive set from 1932-64, I believe I've come out ahead.

Way ahead. That's over 80 coins, making $252 the junk silver price!

Might want to verify those mintmarks because there are several scarce dates from the 1930's and they are all with mintmarks.

Either way though, since you bought the coins at melt value, there would be no financial loss.

Thanks. The first thing I did was to scope the 32S and 32D mintmarks. They check out ok.
Rest in Peace
