Once I get a photo from my USB digital microscope on Photobucket, I can't edit it. I can make a few adjustments but when I click "replace original", it doesn't do it and I'm back where I started. Any ideas ?

Try https://www.picnik.com edit there and transfer to your puter, then transfer to photobucket that's what I do. Picnik has better edit features.
