This week's box was the best since I started dimes back up: 54, 62D, and 64D. The 64D was a very nice AU dime.

Did my first dime box. One 64-D, one 08 Canadian, and quite a few 09-Ps (no Ds yet...but did get a couple 10-Ds). Was still interesting to search them.

120 in CCR and nothing. Found a 1971 Canadian dime. I guess I'll put that in my dark side bag. It sure is getting full!

I've searched about ten boxes this year and am averaging about one silver Roosevelt per box.

Today, I looked through the first 49 rolls in a box without luck. The I opened the last roll and saw a telltale solid silver-gray edge among the dimes in that last roll and thought "Yehoo!".

It turned out to be a 1967 Canadian dime. I checked Wikipedia and found out what an odd issue this is: there were two varieties minted, in about equal quantities: one variety is 80% silver, and the other is 50% silver. And there's no easy way to tell one variety from the other! (There are a couple good threads on CCF describing the coin.)

So...a partial success.

I hate when the sail boats fake you out - at least you got a good one though (maybe)

Funny thing about the '67 Canadians, they are always sold as 50% silver, regardless.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
