davef Valued Member United States 167 Posts	Posted 04/03/2015 5:10 pm Finished my most recent $1000 bag of dimes and found 5 Roosevelt silvers. Oddest thing was I found no foreign coins. Usually find at least 4 or 5 Canadian non silver Canadian dimes. Hopefully better luck next bag. Report this Post to the Staff

I looked at each one since I am trying to complete and upgrade my Roosevelt Whitman folder, but I'm thinking maybe it's better to just edge search after 5-10 boxes? Report this Post to the Staff

davef Valued Member United States 167 Posts	Posted 04/21/2015 09:17 am jbuck: I have edge searched dimes for several years and due to failing eyesight I usually don't check dates. I recently found a newer Whitman classic folder that has spaces for proof clad issues. Of course I have very few of these as I have no interest in buying proof sets. Over the years I have found a few circulating proofs and wonder what percentage of proofs you find per box or bags of dimes. Long story short is what are the odds of finding impaired proof dimes per box/bag/ Thank you. Dave Report this Post to the Staff

Their existence in circulation is totally dependent on them being released by people (as opposed to the banking system).
