Just received these coins the other day. They are all Roman Provincial coins from the Antioch mint in Syria. Couldn't resist posting.

Funnily enough, though many share the the same or similar reverses, there are only a couple of duplicates. This isn't bad considering they all came from the same mint.

Hi,

The earliest coin in this lot is of Tiberius (known later as Augustus), the latest is of Aemilian, so dates range from around 14 BC to 253 AD.

Where do you get your ancient coins from, greco-roman coinage is a bit thin on the ground where I live :P

I live in Australia, so greco-roman coinage is almost non-existent here. Basically I get coins from the middle east and Europe.

Theres ALOT here, but the thing is the dealer knows nothing, going to see him this weak, very nice guy from Iran, has alot of valuable silver coins from Iran and quite a few Roman/Greek coinage, But I need the proper guide to Roman/Medieval/Greek Coinage.

These coins would not be covered by Sear because they are from the Kushan empire.
