I was wondering why the 1991 S proof has such a premium? The mintage really isn't all that low compared to the other proof cents of the 90's.

Probably started out with one person or a small group of people to overhype the lower mintage, and it took off from there. Just a guess.

The last one I sold on ebay went for $9.50, if it did not have one small spot above the date it probably would have gone for more. I would probably not bother trying to sell any other recent raw proof Lincoln because they generally are quite inexpensive.

Most Lincoln proof cents after 1964 sell for very little and really aren't worth listing on ebay. I wouldn't know why the 1991 S proof sells for more other than that is one of the more expensive proof sets to get.
