Sorry I can't directly upload the picture of this coin as I'm new to the site and the program the site said to use to edit photos crashed every time I tried to use it so I'll provide links to my Photobucket, image hosting website.

I would just like to know any information anyone has on this coin as cannot translate the characters, and have no idea if this is valuable or not. Any info would be great.

Thanks for the help. Next time I'll try to find a way to make it upload directly to the website.

Looks like you have a 1917 Kuang-hsu 20 cash. It's a fairly common issue and is easily found in mid- to higher-circulated condition. It is still a nice coin to start off with for a type collection. If you have a Krause catalog, you can look it up under China - Empire under Y#5.

Agreed, except being an Imperial issue, it dates from around 1903. The reverse (dragon side) seems to have been struck somewhat off-centre. I think the variety is plain KM/Y# 5, though I think the indicative marks for other varieties might be worn away on this coin.
